Books Signed by the artist JONNY HANNAH
In conjunction with ‘Songs from Under the Pier’ Jonny Hannah has signed some of his excellent books - an ideal Christmas present!
The most recent publication (2021) is THE STORY OF THE SKIDS a collaboration between musician, filmmaker and former Skids frontman Richard Jobson and illustrator Jonny Hannah. It's a visual history of the heroes of Scottish punk and new wave, as told by Richard Jobson.
Jobson describes this collaboration as, “a fresh pair of eyes to the story of the Skids. I love Jonny’s work, he has a strong musical influence in his unique take on life. The anecdotal approach (to the book) is new and suits Jonny’s style. I think people will see both the fun and serious side of the band.”

JONNY HANNAH GREETINGS FROM DARKTOWN
Illustrator and printmaker Jonny Hannah has created a mysterious coastal town, Darktown inhabited by folk legends, jazz artistes, tattooed sailors and local action hero Rocket Man. It exists in a book, Jonny Hannah: Greetings from Darktown: An Illustrators Miscellany, which contains so many images and so much detail its easy to be drawn in to his fictional world. Writers Philip Hoare and Peter Chrisp help to knit together this romanticised world, which manages to be at once seedy, wistful, and whimsical but also rather jolly. It kind of feels like a more cheerful Royston Vasey. HARDBACK £20.00 TO BUY CLICK HERE
